Could be a long three nights for Pete

Just when I thought I was home free today, this happened:

That would be shards of glass. The glass that was our lamp. Pete and I spent 45 minutes picking up the pieces. And trying to keep little toes off the carpet.

I was a little shaken-and-stirred...with all I have going on tonight. But I made time to take this: "Alex and Primary Colors."

Sorta makes broken lamps a little easier to take.

I just wanted to let you know that I found you through your interesting, thoughtful comments on Scribbit. And your post about blogging totally helped me out! And I've seen stuff about BlogHer all over the place and didn't really know what it was, and now I have tons of info because of you. So I'm just here to say thank you so much for all of your help! Oh, and that picture with the bright blue eyes - absolutely adorable!

Oops. I guarantee that won't be the last time there's broken glass scattered across your floor. At least it wasn't a pitcher full of red drink mix dropped on the kitchen floor by your 16 yo son. Last week. Full pitcher. No pictures, mother too traumatized. On the bright side, the one I dropped last night was empty. (What's with us?) I think we're heading towards drinking straight out of the faucet. Which boys do as soon as they are tall enough, just warning you.

I love the primary colors picture. Nice angle and such beautiful blue eyes.

I was on the phone with you when this happened, so I sorta feel responsible. But then I saw Alex's picture and I feel better too.

My son pulled our lamp over when he was about 2. It sure is traumatizing. I think I vacuumed about two dozen times.

Fabulous picture.
