Biggest Loser Update: Week 2 of 8

Remember all that whining I did about losing only two pounds during the first week of the Biggest Loser contest?

I take it all back.

This week's loss is half a pound.

I keep telling myself at least it's not a gain. A loss is a loss is a loss. But when I think about how far I am from my ultimate goal, a half-pound is like contributing one penny to my Christmas Club account.

But okay, I'm going to keep going. Here's hoping for a post next week with a lot of !!! in it.

Half a pound is fine. It's not what you were hoping for, but as you say, it's a loss! Be thankful you don't have bread pudding sitting in your refrigerator like I do. How much will power do you think I have?

Chili is so right. Even if you continued with a slow rate of loss week after week, you'd drop quite a bit in 6 months or a year. Slow & steady wins the race is a good thought (although it might not win you the contest). I'll bet you'll see a bigger drop next time.
