So totally completely not looking forward to this, and I mean that in a totally selfish way. Of course we want our kids to grow and develop. That's not the point. The point is, it's just hard. And that urge to cry even though we know what's happening is good and natural, it must be the animal part of us. That's the only thing I can figure for that feeling we get when we want to cry, even when we have no rational reason for doing so.

I understand how you feel. Every year I go through the same thing. While the other moms are writing funny updates about "thank god the house is quiet" or "how can I extend their school day for more time alone", I'm wondering if anyone will notice if I hold them hostage at home. It takes weeks to find a groove and fill the time with meaningful tasks. But it does get better. :)

I think it was hardest the year they both went to school full time. That's when I started blogging as a job. ;) LOL
