My first stayed happily in his bed until he was 2 3/4, and even then he was content to stay in his big boy bed until I came to get him in the morning. My second is almost two and I have a feeling he won't stay in a crib nearly as long -- he's already trying to throw a leg over the rail. His crib makes into a bed, so I suppose it's just one day crib, next day bed.
